Welcome to Planet Hobby’s brand new blog! Since 1989, Planet
Hobby (previously known as Grey Region) has been providing Mississauga with comic
books, graphic novels, action figures, models and other geekery of the like. Here we will be posting store and industry news, information
about the products we carry, and content from both the lovely people who sell
them and the wonderful folks who buy them.
For the sake of a school assignment that our wonderful
bossman Phil has decided to humour, I will
be the primary blogrunner for the time being. No need to fear, however; I
promise to deliver diverse content, including posts on how to get into comics
with insights from regulars and employees, new products that come in weekly,
and details to an upcoming giveaway!
Before we get to all that, here
is a quick little intro about me!
My name is Gabby, and I’ve been working at Planet
Hobby for over 2 years! (It will be 3 years this June!) I have been a casual
comic book reader for the past 5 years. Combine that with the fact that I’m the
youngest employee very much makes me the baby of the store. What I lack in knowledge I usually try to make
up for with an infectious amount of enthusiasm and interest.
This store means a lot to me not only as an employee but
also because of the relationships I’ve developed here. Local comic book stores
are such a great way to make friends and meet new people with similar
interests, and I am eager to inform and converse with even more people through
this blog.
